Founded 1999
Al Musafir Tours is one of the pioneering inbound tour operators dedicated to serving travellers from the Gulf Cooperation Council. At a time when Sri Lanka was virtually unknown in the Gulf region as a leisure destination, Mr. Muzaffer envisioned a new opportunity — to introduce the island's breathtaking natural beauty, pleasant climate, rich Islamic heritage and warm hospitality to Arab visitors.
Through his extensive involvement in humanitarian and social service initiatives across the Middle East, Mr. Muzaffer developed close relationships with Gulf communities. During their visits to Sri Lanka for charitable and religious activities, many Arab visitors were captivated by the country's lush green landscapes, cascading waterfalls, pristine beaches, cool hill country and the genuine warmth of its people.
Recognising this untapped potential, he transformed his vision into reality — becoming one of the first operators to actively promote Sri Lanka as a premier holiday destination for Gulf Arab families.
