Our Story
Founded in 1999 by Al Haj Mr. M.C.M. Muzaffer, Al Musafir Tours is one of the pioneering inbound tour operators dedicated to serving travellers from the Gulf. At a time when Sri Lanka was virtually unknown in the Gulf as a leisure destination, he saw an opportunity — to introduce the island's natural beauty, pleasant climate, rich Islamic heritage and warm hospitality to Arab visitors.
The relationship between Sri Lanka and the Arab world dates back over a thousand years. Arab traders were among the earliest visitors to the island, affectionately calling it Serendib, and later Seelan — names that eventually became Ceylon.
